We’ve finally had a few rainy days in Los Angeles, and I’m not going to lie, I love it! It makes me want to be cozy, wear big sweaters, Ugg boots, snuggle on the couch with my dog, light a bunch of candles, and have a glass of red wine! The rain can obviously be a drag when it comes to trying to look cute. And unless you have a Brazilian Blowout on your hair, you’re probably going to deal with a lot of frizz, and it’s almost not even worth trying to style your hair!
Here are a few of my favorite go to hair options for rainy days, or even days I don’t feel like doing my hair…
Love Keri Russell’s ballerina bun. What’s great about this is that frizzy flyaways, or pieces of hair that fall out, make the look even sweeter. It looks best when a little loose, not so slicked back and tight on top of your head. Perfect for a rainy day.
We all know how to put our hair in a pony tail. Tease the crown of your head a little bit and pull your hair back in a hair tie. I like where Jessica Biel’s pony sits on her head. It’s simple, but throw on a cute pair of earrings, or a chunky necklace like she has on, and suddenly your rainy day ponytail can be dressed up.
Jennifer Aniston’s french braid in her fringe is a great way to style in those hairs around your hair line that frizz and are so annoying! You will want to use a little bit of hair product, like a pomade and a hairspray, to keep control of your hair while braiding it. Secure it behind your ear with a small rubber band or a few bobbi pins.
Audrina Patridge’s side braid is perfect. Messy, yet stylish, and her heavy side bang looks great. If you’d rather not deal with your bangs though, try combining Jennifer Aniston’s fringe french braid with Audrina’s side braid for a great look, that will stand strong in the rain!
